Playing, Learning, Exploring (PLE) Infant Class Find support, information, and new mommy and baby friends at PLE Class! The adjustment to a new child, whether it is the first or fifth, is a journey for parents. PLE classes are designed to empower parents to connect with their babies through nurturing, learning and observing.
Each baby is unique so the focus of PLE Infant Class is to help parents understand what their baby is telling them. Through play activities we teach parents how to stimulate the five developmental domains: gross-motor, fine-motor, communication, social-emotional and cognitive abilities. Role modeling, tummy time, music, yoga, play, and infant massage are just some of the techniques used. Weekly topics include (but are not limited to): temperament, attachment, developmental milestones, sleeping and feeding challenges, and coping skills for parents. The classes include group conversation and learning from everyone present, parents and babies alike. Additionally, there is time for parents to ask questions and provide support for one another.
